Bioni Samp – DJ

News:

I recently performed a hybrid binaural DJ Set VRX London. I talked briefly about sound design & performed live with 360 binaural audio design used in The Resistance of Honey & Aftershock. Sounds were position in a rectangle room using two pairs of stereo speakers. I played my own released music, bee field recordings with a mixture of vintage vinyl recordings of Aboriginal, Haitian and Native American music.

For more conventional DJing I mix live on various playback systems including Vinyl, CD, Cassette, Ableton, adding samples and stems from my own tracks. I play my tracks / remixes and mainly other artists I work with admire and enjoy.

I usually DJ as part of the line up at Aconito Records showcase nights, but I also take on individual sets at other nights, private parties and radio, where I like to present an experimental underground electronic journey building deeper into the night. 1 or 2 hours sets. I have been DJing over 20 years and have evolved a hybrid, ever evolving set. Which has been played in UK, Canada, Austria, Poland, Slovakia. My sound is a mixture of ambient, field recordings, noise, electronics, world music, techno etc
